About the role

ABB’s Process Automation business in Bangalore seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead technical engineering activities for industrial projects. The role focuses on electrical system design, including SLD preparation and equipment sizing for Offshore and Onshore E-houses. This is a Hybrid position based in Bangalore, India.

What you’ll do

Act as technical lead for low complexity engineering activities
Perform Basic and Detail Engineering for Electrical systems in industrial projects
Prepare key SLDs, Auxiliary AC/DC SLDs, and protection SLDs
Execute design calculations for transformers, batteries, UPS, DG, VFD, and cabling
Develop schematics for Control, Protection, and Switchgear panels
Create detailed layouts for equipment, earthing, cable routing, and lighting
Prepare data sheets and specifications for industrial equipment
Interface with stakeholders to drive project deliverables and schedules

What you’ll bring

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant Project Engineering experience
Experience as Project Engineer on 4-6 large Power/Water/Oil & Gas projects
Proficiency in design tools for earthing and lighting calculations

Nice to have

Onshore/Offshore E-House experience preferred
Pre-Bid Engineering and Bid/Proposal exposure advantageous
Basic knowledge of power system study and network modelling
Understanding of international standards like ABS/UL for E-House Solutions
