About the role

Senior Project Engineer - Primary at Linxon responsible for engineering functions within substation projects and tenders. Works with Linxon INOPC Engineering Team on international T&D substation projects, focusing on HV substation design and construction. Duties include evaluating techniques, providing technical support for installation and commissioning, preparing project documentation, developing tender deliverables, ensuring compliance with engineering guidelines, creating cost estimates, coordinating with engineers, sub-contractors, suppliers, collaborating with site team, contributing to risk register, preparing technical documentation for equipment specifications, maintaining design issue log, and following safety procedures. Requires Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Power Engineering, 8-14 years of substation design experience, knowledge of AIS/GIS, BESS, ANSI/IEEE, NESC, NFPA standards, and HV substation engineering stages. Preferred BESS experience, ANSI units handling, and rail power distribution knowledge.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree / master’s degree in electrical / Power Engineering
  • 8-14 years of experience in substation design with focus on HV Equipment expertise and overall system design
  • Sound knowledge on engineering of AIS & GIS transmission and distribution substation up to 500kV
  • Knowledge on NESC, NFPA 70, NFPA 780, NFPA 850 standards for substation engineering
  • Overall engineering design experience on 30%, 60%, 90% and IFC stages on Primary engineering in GIS/AIS substation & BESS projects for North America utilities

Nice to have

  • Should have sound knowledge in BESS and if worked in BESS projects will give an advantage
  • Wide knowledge on ANSI / IEEE standards is preferred
  • Knowledge on international standards and best practices related to HV substation & equipment
  • Add on advantage of experience in Rail power distribution systems. (DC / AC system)
