About the role
Advanced Engineering - EV Engineering team at Tata Motors drives the design and development of embedded software and hardware frameworks for EV powertrain systems. Based in Pune, India, this role is on-site and involves mentoring engineers, overseeing prototyping, and managing technology roadmaps for future EV programs.
What you’ll do
- Define and finalize embedded software requirements for EV powertrain
- Design and evaluate hardware architectures and safety goals
- Lead prototyping and proof‑of‑concept projects
- Establish coding standards, testing frameworks, and CI pipelines
- Manage documentation, compliance, and IPR generation
- Mentor team members and coordinate training programs
What you’ll bring
- 6+ years automotive embedded systems experience
- Proficiency in C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink
- Hands‑on with AUTOSAR, ISO26262, MISRA standards
- Experience with CAN, CAN‑FD, UDS, Automotive Ethernet
- Embedded Coder and Simulink Coder usage
- Leadership of cross‑functional development teams
