Senior Quantity Surveyor MEP

About the role

Hill International seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor MEP in Mumbai to manage quantity works for diverse building projects including residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. The role involves performing detailed quantity take-offs for MEP systems, validating Bills of Quantities, and supporting cost estimation and control processes. This is an on-site position requiring strong technical proficiency in construction costing.

What you’ll do

• Undertake quantity take-offs for Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, and HVAC works using applicable standards
• Use software tools like Cost X and AutoCAD to summarize quantities and transfer data into BOQs or cost plans
• Draft or validate Bills of Quantities including carrying out bulk checks
• Support cost estimation by identifying material and labour rates and understanding rate analysis
• Prepare interim payment recommendations, maintain cost control documentation, and manage change control processes
• Contribute to cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, valuation of variations, and preparation of final accounts
• Apply working knowledge of construction technologies in cost planning tasks
• Assess cost implications of materials, labour, and construction methods during design and execution stages

What you’ll bring

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8-12 years’ experience with building projects
