Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Surveying team at WSP, a global professional services firm, delivers accurate quantity take‑offs for architectural, structural and civil works to support cost planning and tendering. The Senior Quantity Surveyor prepares detailed measurements, maintains cost databases, produces variance reports and assists with value‑engineering and cash‑flow analysis. Based in Bengaluru with hybrid work model, the role also leads a team of 4‑6 resources and collaborates across project stakeholders.

What you’ll do

• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs for all trades from contract drawings
• Develop quantities for cost plans at conceptual to pre‑development stages
• Perform review of specifications and drawings to identify discrepancies
• Assist in value‑engineering assignments and cash‑flow preparation
• Maintain construction cost data and market research databases
• Generate quantity variance reports and bid analysis
• Manage and mentor a team of quantity surveyors
• Maintain project documentation and records

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or civil/structural engineering
• RICS or CIOB professional certification
• 8‑10 years of relevant experience in consulting or contracting
• Proficiency with CostX/Estimator or equivalent software
• Experience using BIM for quantity development
• Strong analytical and social skills
• Knowledge of capital budgeting and cash‑flow processes
• Experience with measurement standards such as CSMM7/SMM7/POMI

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or civil/structural engineering
• RICS or CIOB certification
• 8‑10 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with CostX/Estimator
• BIM competency
• Team leadership of 4‑6 members
• Analytical and judgment skills
• Familiarity with measurement standards
