About the role
TSS Consultancy seeks an Associate Data Research Analyst in Rajkot, India, to support its Fintech and Regtech product mission of fighting financial crime. Day-to-day work includes internet-based research, collecting and validating data from public and credible sources, analyzing datasets in Excel, maintaining structured databases, and supporting data-driven decision-making and AI-powered research tool adoption. The role is full-time and based in Rajkot.
What you’ll do
- Conduct primary research through internet-based sources, public databases, government websites, company websites, and other credible sources.
- Gather, validate, and update information from multiple data sources.
- Evaluate source credibility and ensure data accuracy.
- Document research findings and maintain supporting references.
- Analyze and interpret datasets using Excel and other analytical tools.
- Identify trends, patterns, inconsistencies, and missing information.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and data-driven insights for internal stakeholders.
- Perform data cleansing, deduplication, standardization, and validation activities.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- 0–3 years of experience in research, data analysis, business operations, data entry, market research, or related fields.
- Strong internet research and information-gathering capabilities.
- Understanding of research methodologies and source validation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Cleaning, Formulas).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, or similar platforms.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Google Workspace tools.
- Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and reporting.
- Curious and research-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong ownership and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
