About the role

Director of AI/ML & Data Science at Gracenote India, a Nielsen subsidiary, leads cross‑geography data science teams to build AI, NLP, computer vision, and MLOps solutions that power media measurement. The role drives technical rigor, operating rhythm, and talent pipelines while automating analytics workflows and deploying production ML models. Based in India with a hybrid work model, the position offers remote flexibility and on‑site collaboration with global stakeholders.

What you’ll do

• Lead multiple data science and analytics engineering teams
• Establish operating rhythm and KPI tracking
• Coordinate talent pipeline and internship programs
• Automate recurring analyses and simulations
• Deploy and maintain ML/LLM models in production
• Ensure QA and data integrity
• Drive research in statistical sampling and predictive analytics
• Represent global data solutions in cross‑functional engagements

What you’ll bring

• 13+ years in Data Science, AI, deep learning
• 10+ years in Python, Spark, SAS, R, Scala, SQL
• 3-5 years in AWS cloud
• Strong statistical modeling and ML expertise
• Experience with NLP libraries (NLTK, SpaCy, Hugging Face)
• Computer vision frameworks (OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• GenAI tools (RAG, SLMs, prompt engineering)
• Leadership in building high‑performing teams
