About the role
Director, Senior Engineering (.Net FS + AI/ML) at S&P Global leads the development of secure, scalable enterprise software for capital markets. Responsibilities include defining the technical roadmap, overseeing end-to-end lifecycle from requirements to deployment, architecting AWS deployments (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, CloudFormation), and driving adoption of microservices. The director integrates AI/ML capabilities—intelligent document processing, market analysis, risk modeling—leveraging Generative AI, LLMs, RAG pipelines, LangChain, Llama Index, vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, OpenSearch), and AWS AI/ML services (SageMaker, Bedrock). Collaboration with product, data engineering, and client teams ensures alignment with business needs. Mentoring a high‑performing engineering team, fostering innovation, and ensuring security, compliance, and traceability are key. The role requires 15+ years of software development experience, 5+ years in leadership, and expertise in C#, .NET, Angular, SQL Server, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Python, FastAPI/Flask, ML algorithms, and LLMs.
What you’ll do
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for SaaS-based enterprise software applications.
- Lead end-to-end software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Architect and deploy scalable, secure, high-performance applications on AWS.
- Drive adoption of microservice-based architectures to ensure modularity, scalability, and maintainability.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into applications, focusing on intelligent document processing, market analysis, and risk modeling.
- Develop and deploy AI/ML solutions, including Generative AI and LLM-based applications with custom Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, and Client teams to align technical solutions with business and client needs.
- Mentor and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Ensure applications and AI systems are secure, compliant, and traceable, adhering to regulatory standards in the capital markets domain.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years in software development, with minimum 5 years in leadership roles focused on application development.
- Proven track record of delivering SaaS-based applications using microservice architectures, ideally in capital markets, fintech, or enterprise software.
