About the role
Tubular Running Services (TRS) team at Weatherford delivers safe, efficient technical services for offshore drilling and completion operations. The Field Specialist III operates, maintains, and troubleshoots TRS equipment, ensures reliability, and mentors junior specialists while supporting deepwater projects. Based in Kakinada, India, this role works on a rotational offshore schedule with on-site presence at rig locations.
What you’ll do
- Execute TRS operations safely and efficiently according to procedures
- Operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot TRS equipment on offshore rigs
- Monitor equipment performance and proactively address issues to prevent downtime
- Coordinate with client representatives, drilling crews, and internal support teams
- Prepare accurate operational reports, service documentation, and maintenance records
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments
- Mentor and support junior Field Specialists and offshore crew members
- Ensure compliance with Weatherford HSE standards and customer requirements
What you’ll bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of oil & gas field operations experience
- Proven hands‑on TRS operations experience
- Offshore field experience, preferably deepwater
- Valid offshore certifications as required
- Technical Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Working knowledge of offshore drilling and well completion processes
- Willingness to work on a rotational offshore schedule
