About the role

Weatherford International is hiring a Field Specialist III - RTA in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India to support Oil & Gas operations across a variety of products and services. The role ranges from entry-level execution to senior-level leadership, including troubleshooting complex technical issues, mentoring junior engineers, and acting as a key interface with clients at well sites. Day-to-day work involves executing job planning, mobilization, and field operations, operating and maintaining tools and equipment, and supporting 24/7 on-call operations. The position is full-time and based in Mumbai.

What you’ll do

  • Ensure adherence to company HSE, security, and compliance standards and maintain safe working conditions
  • Execute job planning, preparation, mobilization, and field operations
  • Operate, test, and maintain tools and equipment and monitor operational data
  • Prepare and submit job reports, service tickets, and documentation
  • Support 24/7 on-call operations as required and manage inventory and equipment at well sites
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform engineering calculations, and recommend solutions
  • Lead field crews, mentor junior engineers, and act as technical advisor to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company quality policies and drive continuous improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas (intermediate roles)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in MPD, especially on Deepwater projects (preferred)
  • Relevant experience in field operations (preferred for senior roles)
  • Knowledge of mechanics, electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of basic physics, chemistry, and mathematics
  • Computer literacy and technical reporting skills

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science
