About the role

Cadence Design Systems' infrastructure team builds and supports enterprise Linux and cloud environments for large-scale customers. The Principal Design Engineer leads troubleshooting, designs migration plans, and creates lab simulations to validate architectures while collaborating with engineering, product, and customer teams. Bangalore, on-site, hybrid schedule with occasional remote days.

What you’ll do

  • Support and troubleshoot enterprise Linux environments
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure initiatives on AWS
  • Develop migration plans and work breakdown structures to minimize service disruption
  • Build lab simulations for architecture testing and compatibility troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to resolve critical incidents
  • Perform root cause analysis and performance tuning for HPC workloads
  • Document technical solutions and best practices for internal and customer use
  • Lead incident, problem, and continuous service improvement activities

What you’ll bring

  • 3-5+ years progressive network engineering and architecture experience
  • BE/BTech/ME/MS/MTech in Electrical/Electronics
