About the role
Data Migration Team at Definian focuses on helping global clients modernize their data through Workday migrations. The Senior Data Migration Developer designs, builds, and validates custom data loading solutions using Workday, SQL, PowerShell, Excel and VBA, and leads end‑to‑end migration activities from extraction to cutover. Hyderabad office, on‑site work model, with mentorship and growth opportunities within the offshore consulting team.
What you’ll do
- Own mission‑critical data requirements and deliver migration solutions
- Gather client data landscape insights and advise on future‑state strategy
- Design and develop custom data conversion logic and mapping documents
- Execute data quality checks, reconciliation and cutover support
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to resolve data challenges
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years Workday data migration experience
- Expertise with Workday EIB and Customer Central
- Strong SQL query skills
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Excel and VBA
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or related field
