About the role

Technology & Engineering Data Migration team at Cognizant builds and executes end‑to‑end PLM data migration solutions for enterprise clients. The Senior Data Migration Developer leads strategy, designs ETL processes, configures Windchill Bulk Migrator, and validates data across source‑to‑target mappings while mentoring junior engineers. Pune, Maharashtra, India, on‑site work model.

What you’ll do

• Lead end‑to‑end PLM data migration strategy and execution
• Perform source system analysis, data profiling, and quality assessment
• Define source‑to‑target mappings for parts, documents, CAD, BOMs, and change objects
• Design, configure, and run ETL processes and Windchill Bulk Migrator for large migrations
• Execute migration rehearsals, support cutover planning, and resolve failures
• Develop pre‑load and post‑load validation and reconciliation reports
• Support SIT, UAT, and business validation of migrated data
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to migration frameworks

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years of data migration experience
• 10+ years overall IT experience
• Expertise with PTC Windchill Bulk Migrator and PLM functionality
• Knowledge of PTC Windchill database schema
• Experience with CAD data migration (Creo, SolidWorks)
• Strong communication and mentoring skills
• Ability to design ETL processes and data mapping
• Familiarity with auditability and regulatory compliance
