About the role
Business Process Services at TCS leads end‑to‑end direct sourcing for production materials and components. The Direct Sourcing Manager develops category strategies, negotiates contracts, and partners with planning, operations, and engineering to ensure supply continuity and cost competitiveness. Hyderabad, on‑site, flexible rotational/night shift schedule, with relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct materials
- Lead supplier identification, qualification, negotiation, and onboarding
- Drive commercial negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts
- Collaborate with planning, operations, finance, and engineering teams
- Monitor market trends and supply risks to ensure continuity
- Manage RFx processes, bid evaluations, and supplier selection
- Establish supplier scorecards and performance governance
- Mentor team members and standardize sourcing processes
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years in direct procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business or related field
- MBA or procurement certification preferred
