About the role
Direct Sourcing Lead at TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES LTD., leading end-to-end direct sourcing strategies for production materials, components, and supplier partnerships to ensure continuity, cost competitiveness, quality, and risk-managed procurement. Develop category sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, partner with planning, operations, finance, and engineering, and drive savings and compliance. Hyderabad, on-site, flexible rotational/night shift schedule.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute category sourcing strategies for direct materials
- Lead supplier identification, qualification, negotiation, onboarding, and performance governance
- Drive commercial negotiations on pricing, terms, contracts, and lead times
- Partner with planning, operations, quality, finance, and engineering teams
- Monitor market trends, commodity movements, and supply risks
- Lead RFx processes, bid evaluations, and supplier selection
- Establish supplier scorecards, business reviews, and corrective actions
- Mentor team members and standardize sourcing processes
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years direct procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or category management
- Strong supplier negotiation and manufacturing/operations sourcing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field
- MBA or procurement certification preferred
