Associate Software Test Engineer

About the role

NIQ seeks an Associate Software Test Engineer in Mumbai to validate internal and external software applications. The role involves creating test plans, executing scripts, and managing defects within Agile Scrum teams. This is a full-time position based in India with potential international travel.

What you’ll do

• Creates and documents test plans, scenarios, and scripts for validation
• Executes testing scripts in all IT environments and tracks progress
• Identifies new and existing defects and measures them against metrics
• Reports findings to Analysts and Developers for remedial work
• Supports peers and participates actively in Scrum team activities

What you’ll bring

• 0-2 years of experience in Testing
• ISEB/ISTQB qualification or equivalent
• Experience with Selenium test automation tools
• Proven ability to test API functions
• Knowledge of different phases of testing in all IT environments

Nice to have

• Experience in other roles in the Software Delivery Life Cycle
• Experience of Agile project delivery methodology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel internationally if required
