Associate Technical Lead, Software Test Automation

About the role

Software QA team at KLA focuses on delivering high‑quality semiconductor manufacturing software. The role architects, implements and scales AI‑augmented test automation frameworks, driving UI and API test coverage, self‑healing locators and intelligent test generation. Works globally with algorithms, system and application engineering teams, and travels to customer fabs for deployment and troubleshooting. Based in Chennai, India, on‑site work model.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks
• Develop robust UI and API test suites and publish results
• Integrate AI capabilities such as self‑healing locators into testing pipelines
• Collaborate with cross‑functional global teams to resolve quality issues
• Assess automation feasibility and script test cases
• Participate in software deployment, troubleshooting at customer sites
• Represent the SQE team in product lifecycle and program meetings

What you’ll bring

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Background in IC processing or semiconductor equipment is a plus
• Hands‑on experience with automation tools is a plus
• Willingness to travel and work in diverse cultures
