About the role

Cloud Engineering team at Automation Anywhere builds and operates multi‑cloud platforms that power AI‑driven automation. The Staff Engineer drives cloud financial optimization, creates cost‑guardrails, and leads Kubernetes and GenAI cost‑efficiency initiatives while developing forecasting models and chargeback systems. Bengaluru, hybrid work model (Hybrid).

What you’ll do

• Conduct deep‑dive architectural reviews to identify cost inefficiencies
• Develop and maintain automated cost‑guardrails using Python, Bash, and Terraform
• Build cloud financial forecasting models and KPI dashboards for leadership
• Lead Kubernetes FinOps initiatives, optimizing node utilization and GPU allocation
• Optimize GenAI and Azure OpenAI costs through token and model management
• Design tenant‑level metering and chargeback systems for API, AI, and storage usage
• Partner with finance and engineering teams for monthly business reviews
• Translate optimization outcomes into business value metrics

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years cloud engineering or FinOps experience
• 3+ years FinOps or cloud financial governance
• Hands‑on with AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing
• Proficient in SQL, Python, Power BI/Tableau/Grafana
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or Ansible
• FinOps Certified Practitioner (preferred)
• Knowledge of AI platform economics (preferred)
