About the role

Cloud Management & Platform Engineering team at Pearson builds enterprise‑scale multi‑cloud governance and enablement platforms. The Staff Cloud Engineer designs and automates secure cloud services across GCP, AWS, Azure and IBM Cloud, develops Terraform and Ansible IaC, and creates AI‑assisted operational tooling. Based in Bangalore with an on‑site work model, the role includes on‑call rotation and mentorship of engineering peers.

What you’ll do

• Design and build multi‑cloud governance services
• Develop and maintain Terraform‑based provisioning frameworks
• Create AI‑driven automation and operational tooling
• Operate and support critical cloud management platforms with on‑call duties
• Mentor engineers and act as technical SME for major cloud providers

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years cloud engineering/DevOps/SRE experience
• 3+ years building Infrastructure as Code solutions
• Hands‑on with Terraform, Ansible, Python, Go, Bash
• Experience with multi‑cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure, IBM) platforms
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, governance, networking
• Available to work US business hours during training
