About the role

Tech Infrastructure team at Coupang builds and operates cloud platform services at massive scale. The Staff Engineer designs, architects, and automates cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP, driving 99.999% availability and 10X performance improvements. Works on end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines, IaC with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Linux, collaborating with global engineering groups. Bengaluru, on-site, hybrid model with occasional remote days.

What you’ll do

• Design and architect scalable cloud infrastructure services
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and IaC automation
• Lead technical influence across multiple engineering teams
• Optimize performance, reliability, and cost of cloud resources
• Guide cloud infra choices, network design, and security
• Mentor engineers on cloud best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders on mission‑critical projects
• Drive roadmap for 99.999% availability

What you’ll bring

• 15+ years cloud platform engineering
• 10+ years system engineering and SRE
• 7+ years leading architecture on AWS or Azure
• 10+ years IaC development with Terraform/Python/Go
• Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Linux
• AWS Advanced Architecting certification
• Strong cross‑group collaboration and communication
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
