About the role
This role focuses on preventive and breakdown maintenance, fabrication, and machine alignment within a brick manufacturing environment. The Technical Staff Associate – Fitter ensures compliance with EHS and 5S standards, manages manpower, coordinates with departments, and maintains quality against drawings. Proficiency in operating EOT cranes, mixers, pumps, gearboxes, and brick moulds is essential. The candidate will also handle general store management, participate in KAIZEN improvement initiatives, and uphold proper housekeeping, work permits, and spare specifications. A minimum of eight years’ experience in refractory brick manufacturing, especially with presses, is required, along with an ITI qualification in fitter grade.
What you’ll do
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on plant machinery.
- Fabricate components and align machines per technical drawings.
- Operate EOT cranes, mixers, pumps, gearboxes, and brick moulds.
- Ensure compliance with EHS and 5S standards.
- Manage manpower allocation and coordinate with departments.
- Maintain general store inventory and 5S organization.
- Participate in KAIZEN improvement initiatives.
- Implement proper housekeeping and work permit procedures.
- Specify and procure required spares accurately.
- Support quality assurance by verifying work against drawings.
