About the role
Calderys seeks a Technical Staff Associate – Fitter to support fabrication, maintenance, and quality control of heavy equipment in brick manufacturing. Responsibilities include aligning machines, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, participating in Kaizen initiatives, and ensuring compliance with EHS protocols. Candidates should hold an ITI in Fitter grade, have at least 8 years of experience in refractory brick manufacturing, and be proficient in machine alignment, crane and mixer operations, and basic drawings. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
What you’ll do
- Ensure fabrication jobs meet quality and drawing specifications
- Perform preventive maintenance per schedule
- Respond to machine breakdowns promptly
- Participate in Kaizen improvement projects
- Adhere to EHS guidelines and protocols
- Maintain proper housekeeping and work permits
- Coordinate with departments and manage general store
What you’ll bring
