QA Lead Engineer

About the role

GuidingCare® platform team drives quality engineering across HealthEdge's healthcare software. The QA Automation Lead designs and architects scalable Playwright‑TypeScript frameworks, modernizes legacy Selenium suites, and embeds in‑sprint automation while mentoring engineers. Hyderabad, on-site, with AI‑assisted testing tools and CI/CD integration on AWS and GitHub Actions.

What you’ll do

• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks from scratch
• Lead modernization of legacy test suites to Playwright‑based frameworks
• Define automation coding standards and branching strategies
• Set automation strategy, coverage targets, and KPIs
• Partner with development teams for in‑sprint automation
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (AWS, GitHub Actions)
• Mentor and coach QA engineers on automation practices
• Develop execution reports and dashboards for leadership

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years QA/SDET experience
• 8+ years test automation
• Deep expertise in Playwright with TypeScript
• Strong hands‑on Selenium WebDriver
• Programming in TypeScript/JavaScript/Python/Java
• API automation with Playwright, REST Assured, Postman
• CI/CD integration experience with AWS and GitHub Actions
• Proficient with Git and modern development workflows

• Domain experience in healthcare

• Cloud platform experience (AWS)
• AI‑assisted testing tools usage
• Accessibility testing automation
• Experience with test management tools (Zephyr, TestRail)
