Vendor Performance Manager

About the role

The Vendor Performance Management team at Airbnb generates supply for vetted local professionals in the Homes program. This role serves as the primary operational owner for strategic vendor relationships, ensuring performance standards and driving continuous improvement across a global network. The position is based in India with a remote work model.

What you’ll do

• Own end-to-end performance of key operational vendors through KPI and SLA oversight
• Conduct deep-dive data analysis to identify root causes of performance gaps
• Lead business reviews with vendor partners to drive accountability and action plans
• Partner with planning teams to align vendor capacity with business forecasts
• Identify and lead process improvement projects to enhance quality and reduce friction
• Ensure strict compliance with contractual agreements and security requirements
• Serve as operational liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on vendor performance and impact

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years of professional experience
• 5+ years focused on vendor management or supplier relationship management
• Experience in high-volume, global outsourced operations
• Strong analytical skills with SQL proficiency
• Deep working knowledge of CRM systems like Salesforce
• Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies

Nice to have

• Experience in Tech, Travel, or Gig/Sharing Economy sectors
• Familiarity with two-sided marketplace dynamics
• Experience launching new programs or standing up operations from scratch
