Vendor Performance Manager

About the role

The Enterprise Operations team at Airbnb manages quality and vetting programs for Homes, Services, Experiences, and Hotels. As a Vendor Performance Manager in India, you will own strategic vendor relationships, ensuring SLA compliance and driving continuous performance improvement through data analysis and process optimization. This on-site role focuses on operational excellence within a global vendor network.

What you’ll do

• Own end-to-end performance of key operational vendors, tracking KPIs and SLAs
• Conduct deep-dive data analysis to identify root causes of performance gaps
• Lead business reviews with vendor partners to drive accountability and action plans
• Partner with planning teams to align vendor capacity with business forecasts
• Identify and lead process improvement projects to enhance quality and reduce friction
• Ensure strict compliance with contractual agreements, security requirements, and policies
• Serve as the operational liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on vendor performance and impact

What you’ll bring

• 10-18 years of professional experience
• 5+ years in vendor or supplier relationship management
• Experience in high-volume, global environments
• Strong analytical skills with SQL proficiency
• Deep knowledge of CRM systems like Salesforce or Airtable
• Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks

Nice to have

• Experience in Tech, Travel, or Gig/Sharing Economy sectors
• Familiarity with two-sided marketplace dynamics
• Experience launching new programs or standing up operations from scratch
