About the role
Accor’s ibis Jaipur City Centre seeks a Commis – 1 (Chinese) to join its culinary team in Jaipur, India. This entry-level role involves preparing Chinese dishes, performing mise en place, and supporting senior chefs in a fast-paced kitchen. The position is full-time and on-site.
What you’ll do
- Prepare and cook Chinese dishes according to established recipes
- Perform mise en place activities including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Assist senior chefs in food preparation, plating, and garnishing
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including woks and steamers
- Support the kitchen brigade during service and maintain workflow efficiency
- Monitor stock levels and report ingredient shortages
- Participate in induction training and ongoing development
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or minimum primary school education
