About the role
The SBU Head - Finance Control & Legal leads financial governance and legal risk management for the business unit in Mumbai, India. Day-to-day, the role ensures budget discipline, cash visibility, compliant controls, payment governance, SAP/WBS/CTC integrity, contract legal review, dispute support, and financial risk monitoring across funding, working capital, claims exposure, and statutory compliance. The position also drives transparent MIS, audit-ready records, and SLA-driven closures across stakeholders.
What you’ll do
- Ensure financial governance and legal risk management for the SBU with budget discipline, cash visibility, and compliant controls
- Manage payment governance and SAP/WBS/CTC integrity to align spend with approved baselines and audit expectations
- Conduct contract legal review, notice management, and dispute support with commercial teams to protect Adani’s position
- Monitor financial risk across funding, working capital, claims exposure, and statutory compliance obligations
- Ensure transparent MIS, audit-ready records, and SLA-driven closures across stakeholders
What you’ll bring
- CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / B.Com from a recognized Indian institution
- 10+ years of experience (12-20 years range)
- Financial governance and legal risk management expertise
- Budget discipline and cash visibility management
