About the role
Technical Center India ME Ergonomics team builds ergonomic virtual assessments and standards for GM global product programs. The Engineering Manager leads a team of 10+ engineers, overseeing ergonomic simulations, safety culture, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration while managing budgets and resource planning. Bengaluru, Karnataka, India – hybrid (four days onsite per week).
What you’ll do
- Recruit, train, and develop engineering team
- Drive safety culture and compliance with GM workplace safety systems
- Lead strategic 3‑5‑year planning and annual business objectives
- Ensure on‑time delivery of ergonomic simulations and quality metrics
- Champion continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives
- Manage resource planning, budgeting, and workload distribution
- Collaborate with global and regional teams on technology roadmaps
- Interpret data and analytics to drive actionable improvements
What you’ll bring
- 15+ years automotive manufacturing or Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Hands‑on ergonomic assessment/simulation experience
- Proficiency with CAD, Teamcenter, VisMockup/Process Simulate
- Knowledge of automotive processes, OpEx, Six Sigma, AI/ML applications in manufacturing
- Agile project management expertise
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
