About the role

Technical Center India ME Ergonomics team builds ergonomic virtual assessments and standards for GM global product programs. The Engineering Manager leads a team of 10+ engineers, overseeing ergonomic simulations, safety culture, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration while managing budgets and resource planning. Bengaluru, Karnataka, India – hybrid (four days onsite per week).

What you’ll do

  • Recruit, train, and develop engineering team
  • Drive safety culture and compliance with GM workplace safety systems
  • Lead strategic 3‑5‑year planning and annual business objectives
  • Ensure on‑time delivery of ergonomic simulations and quality metrics
  • Champion continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives
  • Manage resource planning, budgeting, and workload distribution
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams on technology roadmaps
  • Interpret data and analytics to drive actionable improvements

What you’ll bring

  • 15+ years automotive manufacturing or Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Hands‑on ergonomic assessment/simulation experience
  • Proficiency with CAD, Teamcenter, VisMockup/Process Simulate
  • Knowledge of automotive processes, OpEx, Six Sigma, AI/ML applications in manufacturing
  • Agile project management expertise
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
