About the role
Energy Market Analytics team at ICF develops high‑quality power sector models and forecasts for clients. The analyst collects and analyzes data, performs production cost and transmission congestion modeling, and supports policy analysis for renewable and smart grid initiatives. Role based in New Delhi and Bangalore, India with on‑site work.
What you’ll do
- Collect and analyze data for power sector modeling projects
- Perform production cost and transmission congestion analysis
- Assist in nodal market modeling and financial calculations
- Conduct load flow analysis of transmission and distribution systems
- Lead data input/output processes and maintain datasets
- Research latest power market developments and update team
- Develop code and macros to process large datasets
- Prepare high‑quality written and electronic deliverables
What you’ll bring
- Master's in Power/Energy systems or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
- 1+ years production cost modeling experience
- Experience with GE-MAPS, PROMOD, GridView or PLEXOS
- Knowledge of GE-PSLF, PSS/E, PowerWorld or CYMDIST
- Advanced Excel and VBA skills
- Programming/macros for large datasets
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Research and communication abilities
