About the role
Energy Market Analyst team at ICF focuses on power sector modeling and analysis to support client decision‑making. The analyst collects and processes large datasets, builds production cost and transmission congestion models, and conducts quantitative research on market trends. Based in New Delhi or Bangalore, India with on‑site work at the office.
What you’ll do
- Collect and analyze data for power sector modeling projects
- Perform production cost and transmission congestion modeling
- Assist in nodal market analysis and financial asset valuation
- Conduct load flow analysis of transmission and distribution systems
- Lead data input/output processes and maintain modeling datasets
- Research latest power market developments and update team
- Develop code/macros to manage large datasets
- Prepare high‑quality written and electronic deliverables
What you’ll bring
- Master's degree in Power/Energy systems or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
- 1+ years production cost modeling or economic power market analysis
- Experience with GE-MAPS, PROMOD, GridView or PLEXOS
- Familiarity with GE-PSLF, PSS/E, PowerWorld or CYMDIST
- Advanced Excel and VBA/macros
- Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
- Research and analytical abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication
