About the role

APAC Procurement organization at Thermo Fisher Scientific drives sourcing initiatives for the Electrical category, including PCBA, cable harness, and OEM electrical products. The Senior Procurement Specialist leads category strategy execution across India, delivering cost savings, supplier consolidation, and risk mitigation while partnering with global and regional stakeholders. Hyderabad and Mumbai, India, on-site work model.

What you’ll do

• Leads and executes category initiatives across India to achieve cost savings and supplier consolidation
• Develops and implements 3–5 year sourcing strategies aligned with APAC and global direction
• Identifies and develops local and regional suppliers to support business growth
• Conducts spend analysis and builds business cases for sourcing decisions
• Manages RFQ/RFP processes, negotiations, and contract implementation
• Monitors market intelligence and refines category strategy
• Analyzes supplier performance and drives continuous improvement
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and visibility

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
• Minimum 7 years procurement/sourcing experience in a matrixed organization
• Experience managing suppliers in Electrical categories such as PCBA, cable assemblies, power supplies, motors
• Experience with EMS suppliers preferred
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Proven negotiation, analytical, and project management abilities
