About the role

Global Public Affairs (GPA) – India team shapes Intuitive Surgical’s government affairs strategy across the country. The Lead drives policy, regulatory and stakeholder engagement, builds relationships with policymakers, trade groups and healthcare societies, and crafts strategic communications to support business objectives. Based in India with 25% travel, this full‑time role operates on‑site and collaborates with cross‑functional leaders globally.

What you’ll do

• Support senior leadership in developing and executing national and regional government affairs strategies
• Monitor, analyze and communicate policy and regulatory developments impacting the business
• Cultivate relationships with policymakers, trade groups, professional societies and other key influencers
• Draft and manage strategic communications such as briefing documents, talking points and position papers
• Partner with country and cross‑functional leaders to align policy priorities with business goals
• Collaborate with GPA colleagues across APAC and globally to coordinate advocacy efforts
• Oversee external agencies, consultants and partners to ensure effective execution of initiatives
• Represent Intuitive at industry associations, policy forums and government meetings

What you’ll bring

• 12+ years in strategic government or public affairs, preferably healthcare
• Deep knowledge of India’s political and healthcare policy landscape
• Experience engaging with ministries, trade associations and professional societies
• Proven ability to develop and execute policy strategies
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including briefing documents and speeches
• Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a matrixed global environment
• Willingness to travel within India and internationally as required
