About the role
Astreya seeks a Hardware Support Technician II in Bangalore, India, to manage procurement and logistics for pre-market consumer electronics. The role involves daily hardware reworks, software imaging, and defect documentation while providing technical support at events. This full-time position requires frequent travel and operates on an on-site basis.
What you’ll do
- Assist with inventory and asset management including receipt and disposition of hardware
- Document all defects of pre-mass production hardware and/or software
- Help perform hardware reworks such as swapping boards or chips
- Help perform software reworks including imaging devices and rewriting IDs
- Assist with servo flashing, firmware upgrades, and flashing unsigned images
- Help resolve support tickets on device issues
- Provide technical support during events requiring frequent travel
- Perform other duties as required
What you’ll bring
- High school diploma or GED
- 0 to 2 years related experience
- IT savvy with interest in new technologies
- Knowledgeable about inventory management
- Capable of following technical instructions for flashing devices
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Strong organization skills
