Hardware Technician, Dell R&D Labs

About the role

Hardware Technician role supporting Dell R&D Labs, responsible for assembling and configuring enterprise servers, performing OS installations on Windows, Red Hat Linux and ESXi, updating BIOS/Firmware, and conducting component-level PCB rework. Works onsite at the Dell facility in Bangalore, coordinating with engineers and project managers to ensure hardware readiness and system recovery. Full-time, on-site position.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate and assemble servers per engineer guidance
• Perform root‑cause analysis to component level on enterprise servers
• Install and configure operating systems on hardware
• Update BIOS/CPLD/Firmware on motherboards and HDDs
• Execute PCB rework using high‑end tools
• Recover, teardown, and process systems for final disposition

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years hardware lab experience
• Hands‑on OS installation (Windows, Red Hat, ESXi)
• BIOS/CPLD/Firmware updates
• Component‑level PCB rework

Nice to have

Diploma in CS/ECE/EEE or B.Sc CS/Electronics or BCA
