About the role
SYSTRA’s Telecommunication team drives end‑to‑end design of metro and rail communication systems. The Chief Telecommunication System Engineer authorizes integrated telecom subsystems—optical fiber backbone, TETRA/LTE‑R radio, and master clock—while the Chief Resident Engineer ensures on‑site installation, antenna placement, and system commissioning. Based in New Delhi, Haryana, India, the role is on‑site with a fixed‑term contract, delivering secure, redundant communication for public transport projects.
What you’ll do
- Authorizes design of integrated telecom subsystems (OFC backbone, TETRA/LTE‑R, master clock)
- Manages technical specs for PA, PIDS, CCTV, and video management systems
- Designs cyber‑secure architectures for OCC with 100% redundancy
- Oversees physical installation of equipment rooms, trackside telephone systems, and antenna positioning
- Leads integration between Telecom, Signaling, E&M, and Civil
- Manages CMRS frequency licensing and safety certification
- Approves FAT and SAT for all subsystems
- Ensures compliance with performance KPIs and project milestones
