About the role

The Chief Telecommunications Expert will lead the design and implementation of telecom systems for semi-high-speed rail projects in India. Responsibilities include defining communication architecture, overseeing operational systems, and ensuring technical compliance with railway standards. The role requires extensive experience in rail-based passenger transit systems and a strong background in electronics and communication engineering.

What you’ll do

Define overall communication architecture
Lead design of high-speed, redundant FOTS
Oversee implementation of safety-critical operational systems
Direct design and integration of SISS
Ensure seamless integration of telecom network with core railway systems
Act as final technical authority for telecommunication designs
Develop and execute testing and commissioning plans
Manage final technical handover of systems

What you’ll bring

Graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent
20 years post-qualification experience in Telecom
10 years in rail-based passenger transit systems
5 years in design, implementation, and testing of telecom systems
Experience as Chief Telecommunications Expert or equivalent

Nice to have

Experience in review and integration of telecom systems with other sub-systems
Knowledge of international railway standards and technical specifications
