Dy. Chief Expert - Telecommunication System

About the role

SYSTRA seeks a Dy. Chief Expert in Telecommunication Systems for the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project. The role leads design review, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of telecom infrastructure, ensuring seamless interfacing with signalling, MEP, and SCADA systems. The candidate will verify work, prepare contractor payment requests, secure statutory approvals, and coordinate with agencies such as ISA and CMRS. Acting as the Chief Expert during absences, the position demands deep expertise in rail‑based telecom projects, strong project management skills, and the ability to drive technical excellence across multidisciplinary teams.

What you’ll do

• Review design of telecom systems including backbone, wireless, CCTV, access control, PIDS, PAS, master clock, EPBAX, SCADA
• Oversee installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems
• Interface telecom systems with rolling stock, signalling, MEP, SCADA, and approve interface documents
• Verify completed work and prepare contractor payment requests
• Assist NHSRCL in obtaining statutory approvals
• Coordinate with agencies such as ISA, CMRS for project completion
• Act as acting Chief Expert during absence

What you’ll bring

Engineering Graduate in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent

8+ years managing telecom systems in rail construction
