Branch Operations Head

About the role

Axis Bank seeks a Branch Operations Head in Thrissur to lead branch daily operations and drive financial performance. The role involves managing tellers and customer service officers, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing customer engagement strategies. This is an on-site position based in Thrissur.

What you’ll do

• Direct daily branch operations including cash, clearing, transfers, and account opening
• Manage and train tellers and customer service officers
• Ensure compliance with banking rules, regulations, and anti-money laundering procedures
• Resolve customer complaints while maintaining high service standards
• Achieve aggregate cross-sell points and growth in account balances
• Control income leakage and monitor office accounts
• Handle internal and external audit processes and queries
• Review branch operations reports and track exceptional transactions

What you’ll bring

• Graduation or Post-Graduation (MBA-Marketing preferred) from a recognized institute
• 7 - 9 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of banking products and services
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and norms

Nice to have

• NCFM and AMFI Certifications
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and local language
