Associate Engineer, Applications Development

About the role

The Application Development and Design team at TransUnion supports global business and consumer systems by improving the efficiency of business operations, applications, and operating systems. As a Software Tester in one of the GCC teams, you will ensure a solid test approach and satisfactory test coverage for flagship TransUnion products to meet client requirements and regulations. This hybrid position is based in Chennai and requires regular in-person work at an assigned TU office for a minimum of two days a week.

• Apply satisfactory levels of test coverage to meet client requirements and regulations
• Perform job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office
• Deliver quality through knowledge and enthusiasm for testing
• Support TransUnion's global business and consumer systems by improving efficiency of business operations, applications, and operating systems

What you’ll bring

• Advanced experience with Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI for API testing
• Expertise in Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright for UI automation
• Familiarity with JMeter or LoadRunner for performance testing
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for test environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP testing strategies
• Experience with Appium or similar tools for Android/iOS mobile testing
• Strong SQL skills for backend validation and data integrity checks
