Engineer - Plant Layout & Piping

About the role

The Engineer - Plant Layout & Piping role focuses on hydro power plant engineering within the Vadodara location. This position involves designing piping layouts, coordinating with stakeholders, and utilizing tools like E3D and AutoCAD to ensure project schedules and budgets are met. The work model is On-site.

What you’ll do

• Expertly use E3D & AutoCAD for hydro power plant network routing modeling
• Generate clash check reports and resolve interferences using Navisworks
• Create general arrangement drawings, isometrics, BOMs, and powerhouse layouts in E3D/Revit
• Review customer civil and equipment GA drawings to streamline layout interfaces
• Proactively interact with other departments and participate in customer discussions
• Implement EHS policies and procedures during the design aspect

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience in Powerplant Layouts, preferably Hydro Powerplant
• B.E. Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Well-versed with Piping & Layout codes, standards, and design workflows
• Hands-on working knowledge of E3D, ACAD, and Navisworks
• Ability to independently coordinate stakeholders within defined schedule and budget

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of civil structural design (beam/column/slab/steel structure)
• Knowledge of equipment loads, foundation requirements, and handling needs
• Understanding of multi-disciplinary design and 3D coordination processes
• Strong oral and written communication skills
