About the role
Grid Systems Integration at GE Vernova designs and delivers HVDC solutions for utilities worldwide. The Project Plant Lead Engineer provides technical expertise in plant engineering, system design, material selection and cost estimation for HVDC and substation projects, leading plant engineers and coordinating with global engineering centers. Based in Noida with additional locations in Pallavaram and Kolkata, this role is onsite with relocation assistance.
What you’ll do
- Develop single line diagrams, layout and earthing designs for HVDC projects
- Select and size equipment per IEEE/IEC standards
- Lead plant engineering planning and cost estimation
- Coordinate with global engineering centers and regional teams
- Guide and mentor plant engineering staff
- Manage change control and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Evaluate vendor drawings and technical specifications
What you’ll bring
- 12+ years experience in EHV/HV AIS & GIS Substation Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Proficiency with IEEE/IEC codes and safety standards
- Experience with design tools such as CANECO, ETAP, CDGES
- Knowledge of 3D design tools (Revit, ACC, Naviswork)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel and work in multiple locations
