Engineer - Plant Layout & Piping

About the role

The Engineer - Plant Layout & Piping role focuses on hydro power plant engineering, specifically designing and coordinating piping, HVAC ducting, and cable networks. Day-to-day duties include generating 3D models in E3D/Revit, resolving clashes via Navisworks, and producing general arrangement drawings. This full-time position is based in Vadodara with a standard on-site work model.

What you’ll do

• Generate 3D models for piping, HVAC ducting, and cable routing using E3D and Revit
• Create clash check reports and resolve interferences using Navisworks
• Produce general arrangement drawings, isometrics, BOMs, and powerhouse equipment layouts
• Review customer civil and equipment GA drawings to streamline layout interfaces
• Coordinate with other departments and participate in customer discussions
• Implement EHS policies during the design aspect
• Manage allotted work within defined schedules and budgeted manhours

What you’ll bring

• B.E. Mechanical or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in Powerplant Layouts
• Proficiency in E3D, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks
• Strong understanding of Piping & Layout codes and standards
• Knowledge of multi-disciplinary design workflows and 3D coordination

Nice to have

• Experience in Hydro Power Plant Engineering
• Basic knowledge of civil structural design (beam/column/slab/steel structure)
