About the role

Security Operations team at CBTS focuses on automating detection and response workflows to strengthen enterprise defenses. The Junior Engineer builds and maintains SOAR playbooks on Palo Alto XSIAM/XSOAR, integrates security tools via Python and REST APIs, and collaborates with SOC analysts to streamline triage and remediation. Remote work from Chennai, India, with a focus on reducing manual effort and improving response consistency.

What you’ll do

• Develop, test, and maintain automated playbooks on XSOAR/XSIAM
• Collaborate with SOC analysts to identify manual workflows for automation
• Integrate security tools and platforms into SOAR workflows
• Evaluate playbook performance and iterate based on feedback
• Document playbook logic and contribute to design discussions

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years SOC analyst experience
• 1-2 years SOAR platform experience (Palo Alto XSIAM/XSOAR)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Palo Alto Cortex, CompTIA Security+, or similar certification
• Proficiency in Python scripting
• Experience with REST APIs, Regex, JSON
