About the role
Water & Environment Division (DESAL) at Larsen & Toubro leads design of water, effluent and sewage treatment plants. The Lead Manager mentors a team of Mechanical Engineers delivering pipe stress analysis, equipment design and procurement for large‑scale treatment projects. Chennai office, on-site work model, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Lead and mentor Mechanical Engineering team for pre‑bid and detailed design
- Plan engineering deliverables, resource allocation and execution
- Design mechanical equipment and piping systems for STP, WTP, ETP
- Perform pipe stress and hydraulic analyses using CAESAR II and WaterGEMS
- Prepare RFQs, evaluate vendors and support procurement
- Develop plant layouts, GA drawings and 3D models
- Coordinate with clients, consultants and interdisciplinary teams
What you’ll bring
- 12-18 years experience
- B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Expertise in CAESAR II and WaterHammer
- Proficiency with WaterGEMS and Navisworks
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3, AWWA M11 standards
