About the role
WSP is seeking a BIM Technician - Dry Utilities to design and perform BIM modelling for dry utilities networks and MEICA, supervise and direct the team, review and ensure the correctness of BIM production work, coach and build the team, and attend client meetings. The role is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India and Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, operating under a hybrid work model. WSP is a global professional services consulting firm focused on engineering lasting solutions across transportation, infrastructure, property, energy, and environment sectors.
What you’ll do
- Design and perform BIM modelling for dry utilities network and MEICA.
- Provide team supervision and direction.
- Review and ensure the correctness of BIM production work from the team.
- Coach and build the team.
- Attend meetings with the client.
- Ensure models/drawings accuracy based on BIM standards and BIM project workflow criteria/checklist.
- Experience in modelling of dry utilities.
- Clean up and synchronize models/drawings on a daily basis.
What you’ll bring
- Have a minimum of 4 years experience in BIM modelling and supervision in infrastructure projects.
- Hold a degree or diploma in electrical/electronic reflecting the required BIM modeler position.
- Be certified and experienced in AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Have good knowledge in preparation of part Builder for both gravity and pressure networks.
- Ability to generate clash reports, perform clash checking, and resolve issues based on reports and viewpoints.
- Proficient knowledge in dry utilities and capable of reading all related items including electrical, telecom, and street lighting.
- Understanding and capability to coordinate and work with design engineers.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
