About the role

Google Cloud Platform team drives digital transformation for enterprises worldwide. The Platform Customer Engineer partners with technical sales to architect cross‑pillar cloud solutions, lead proofs‑of‑concept, and define delivery plans for customers. Based in Gurugram, India, on‑site role with occasional travel to customer sites.

What you’ll do

• Develop and own technical account plans and strategies
• Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture to demonstrate Google Cloud value through demos, pilots, and workshops
• Architect cross‑pillar solutions and drive technical wins for customers
• Define and manage delivery and consumption plans throughout solution phases
• Facilitate post‑sales transition, supporting pricing activities and handoff to implementation teams
• Maintain progress awareness and support cross‑functional teams during ramp, migration, and implementation

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 10 years experience with cloud native architecture in a customer‑facing or support role
• Experience with cloud engineering, on‑premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms
• Experience presenting to technical stakeholders or executive leaders
• Proficiency in programming, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or workshops
• Experience selling technical solutions in infrastructure or application modernization, data management, analytics, cloud AI, networking, migrations, or security
• Experience driving business cycles from delivery planning to execution
• Knowledge of security concepts such as encryption, identity management, and access control
