Senior Principal Lead AI Solution Architect

About the role

Senior Principal Lead AI Solution Architect at RTX leads enterprise AI strategy, evaluates use cases, recommends internal or vendor solutions, ensures alignment with Responsible AI, security, and governance standards, produces business cases, and drives adoption of AI platforms across Collins Aerospace.

What you’ll do

• Partner with business units to assess AI use cases and translate needs into solutions.
• Evaluate internal AI portfolio and recommend proven platforms to accelerate delivery.
• Assess vendor AI tools, conduct capability, security, integration, data governance, cost, and viability reviews.
• Advise on AI initiatives, provide architecture guidance, risk identification, and alignment with standards.
• Produce written assessments, business cases, and recommendation reports for stakeholders.
• Drive alignment of AI initiatives with enterprise strategy, architecture standards, and roadmaps.
• Champion enterprise tools as preferred delivery path over third‑party or custom solutions.
• Maintain awareness of AI inventory and communicate available solutions to customers.
• Collaborate with architecture, services, cybersecurity, data governance, and procurement teams to ensure compliance.
• Contribute to improvement of evaluation frameworks, intake processes, and AI standards documentation.
• Apply Responsible AI framework to evaluate use cases, identify bias, fairness, transparency, explainability, and privacy risks.
• Validate vendor AI documentation and transparency reports, identify gaps or misrepresentations.
• Identify technical, operational, ethical, regulatory, and reputational risks; recommend mitigations or denials.
• Prepare structured approval or denial recommendations for review by Lead Enterprise AI Officer.
