About the role
Vertiv seeks a Senior Engineer in Pune, India, to lead power hardware development for rectifier products within the Global Engineering Function. The role involves coordinating with QA, testing, and production teams to ensure technical accuracy and project compliance while solving market and production issues. This is an on-site position requiring independent project management and team guidance.
What you’ll do
- Lead and coordinate with quality assurance, testing, production, and R&D
- Serve as project in charge for rectifier products HW development
- Create timelines and organize collaborative meetings for projects
- Ensure projects comply with specifications and timelines
- Review work for technical accuracy
- Handle and solve market plus production problems
- Apply new trends and technologies to improve product lines
- Follow defined processes and communication plans
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- 5-6 years of relevant experience in power electronics design & development
- Strong knowledge of power conversion design & manufacturing
- Experience in Industrial grade Rectifier or UPS product design
- Familiarity with control theory, analog, digital & electric systems
Nice to have
- Understanding of PFC, inverter circuit, buck, boost & LLC circuit principles
- Experience handling projects independently and guiding team members
- Exposure to computer-aided drafting (CAD) software
- Exposure to embedded software development
