About the role

DAIV System Team, a centralized DevOps and software infrastructure group at Thermo Fisher Scientific, builds CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, AI enablement, and cybersecurity support for desktop and web product teams across EMEA. As a DevOps Engineer you will implement and maintain CI/CD infrastructure, automate build and release processes, and ensure secure software lifecycle practices while collaborating with senior engineers and product stakeholders. Bangalore, India, hybrid work model.

What you’ll do

  • Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and supporting infrastructure
  • Support product teams with build, test, packaging, deployment and release activities
  • Create scripts and automation to reduce manual effort and improve consistency
  • Manage GitHub/GitLab repositories, runners, artifact storage and access patterns
  • Investigate and resolve pipeline and deployment failures, documenting corrective actions
  • Operate automated code, dependency, container and secrets scanning for secure SDLC
  • Participate in tool upgrades, migrations, patching and deprecation tasks
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, cybersecurity specialists and stakeholders

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
  • 3-6 years of DevOps experience
  • Proficiency with Git and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
  • Hands‑on experience with Python, .NET, Docker and Linux
  • Experience with desktop (CMake, C++, Qt, PowerShell) or web (Kubernetes, Helm, Rancher) delivery pipelines
  • Understanding of secure SDLC practices and vulnerability remediation
  • Strong written and verbal English communication
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
