About the role
DAIV System Team at Thermo Fisher Scientific provides CI/CD infrastructure, developer tooling, AI enablement, and cybersecurity support for desktop and web product teams across EMEA. As a DevOps Engineer you will implement and maintain pipelines, automate workflows, and ensure secure software delivery while collaborating with senior engineers and global stakeholders. Bangalore, India, hybrid work model with occasional travel.
What you’ll do
- Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and DevOps infrastructure
- Support product teams with build, test, packaging, deployment, and release activities
- Create scripts and automation to reduce manual effort and improve consistency
- Manage GitHub/GitLab repositories, runners, and artifact management
- Investigate and resolve pipeline and deployment failures
- Operate automated code, dependency, container, and secrets scanning
- Participate in tool upgrades, migrations, and platform deprecations
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and cybersecurity specialists
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
- 3-6 years of DevOps experience
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD platforms like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
- Experience with Python, .NET, Docker, and Linux
- Knowledge of secure SDLC practices and vulnerability remediation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in distributed teams
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe
